Short answer: yes, you can rent an automatic car at Tunis-Carthage and Enfidha-Hammamet airports (Monastir and Djerba on request). This winter (November 2026 to January 2027) a small automatic costs from 100 DT a day (about €29), around 5 to 10 DT more than the same car with a manual gearbox. In July and August prices roughly double, so book early. Automatics are fewer than manuals: send your dates as soon as you know them.

Automatic or manual: how much more?
In winter, an automatic costs about 5 to 10 DT a day more than the same model with a manual gearbox (Hyundai i10: 105 DT vs 100 DT in November). In summer the gap grows to 30 to 65 DT a day (Suzuki Swift: 245 DT vs 180 DT in July), because automatics are the first cars to go.
